EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST SOUGHT FOR SALE/LONG TERM LEASING OF VACANT HOUSING UNITS

South Tipperary Local Authorities seek to ascertain the level of availability of vacant housing units within South Tipperary which may be suitable for Social Housing.

With this in mind, proposals (including costs) are requested from interested parties holding vacant housing units which may be suitable for Social Housing and which are available for sale or long term lease to the relevant Housing Authority.

Proposals should be submitted in writing no later than 31st March 2010 to the following persons in respect of each area:

  • County Council Administrative Area – Director of Services, Housing Section, County Hall, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary
  • Clonmel Borough  – Town Clerk, Clonmel Borough Council, Town Hall, Clonmel
  • Carrick-on-Suir Town – Town Clerk, Carrick-on-Suir Town Council, Town Hall, Carrick on Suir
  • Cashel Town – Town Clerk, Cashel Town Council, Town Hall, Cashel, Co. Tipperary
  • Tipperary Town – Town Clerk, Tipperary Town Council, Town Hall, Tipperary, Co. Tipperary.

Consideration will only be given to properties in areas where the local authority has a need for housing. Properties must be of good quality and comply with all planning and building regulations. All properties must have a structural guarantee.

Proposals should include the following details:

  • Contact details
  • Location & address of properties
  • Type (Single Storey House/ Two Storey Dwelling/Apartment)
  • Size of property/No. of Rooms
  • Copies of plans and drawings
  • Site location maps
  • Details of available services
  • Copy of relevant planning permission/certificate of compliance
  • Indicative market rents/purchase price.
