Council Members
South Tipperary is divided into five electoral areas, Cahir , Cashel, Clonmel, Fethard and Tipperary. The full council meet each month for which an agenda is published in advance and minutes are published afterwards. These meetings are known as Ordinary Meetings.
In addition the local authority holds an Annual Meeting usually in May/June and a Budget Meeting towards the end of the year. In certain circumstances a 'Special Meeting' can be scheduled to deal with a particular issue. At these meetings the reserved functions of a local authority are performed by the elected members by resolution passed at a meeting of the local authority.
