The estimated revenue income for 2008 is €6,788,961 compared with €6,684,477 for 2007.
WATER SERVICES INVESTMENT PROGRAMME
The Water Services Investment Programme for the period 2007-2009 provides for expenditure of €95,042,000 on water and wastewater services in the county.Details of the current status of schemes included in the investment programme. Group Water and Sewerage Schemes
The Council received an allocation of €320,800 in 2007 under this category. Cloughleigh Group Water Scheme has been completed and works are commencing on the connection of Toor GWS to the public network.The focus of the programme for 2008 will be to address remaining inadequacies in the quality of drinking water so as to ensure compliance with the priorities set down in the EU Drinking Water Directive through:-
- Provision of treatment and disinfection facilities
- Source Protection measures
- Rehabilitation and upgrade of distribution systems
Seven Villages Grouped Design Build Operate Scheme
This scheme involves the provision of waste water collection/treatment systems based on a bundled design build operate model for seven villages in North and South Tipperary. The contract was signed in November 2005 and the Treatment Plants in the three villages in South Tipperary of Clonoulty, Cullen and Hollyford will be operation in the first quarter of 2008.
