• Home Composting

Home composting is an easy alternative to throwing your organic waste such as vegetable peelings in your bin.  It is estimated that approximately one third of waste produced in the home is organic waste that can be composted.  The majority of organic waste produced in the home comes from the kitchen, in the preparation of meals and snacks.

Potato skins, vegetable peels, fruit skins and even egg shells can be thrown into the home composting unit where they break down naturally to produce a rich nutrient compost ideal for your garden plants.  Click below to download a booklet which explains how to compost sucessfully at home.
