The Knocklofty Local Area Plan 2006 was revoked on the 13^th June 2011. Therefore, the provisions of the Knocklofty LAP 2006 are no longer effective. The provisions of the County Development Plan 2009-2015 as varied by Variation Number 1 are applicable to Knocklofty.

The Knocklofty Local Area Plan 2006 was made by South Tipperary County Council on the 3rd April 2006 and aims to ensure the proper planning and sustainable development of the defined plan area while protecting the historic/cultural landscape.
